The Injil: 

the message of Allah for all mankind via Isa the Messiah. In the Greek language the Injil is called the “Evangelion” which means “the Good News.” The Injil is not only the name of a book; it is the message of truth, guidance, and salvation that Allah sent to mankind in the person of Isa the Messiah. Sayyiduna Isa said the words he spoke were not from himself but were inspiration from Allah, and that the miracles he did were acts of Allah. (John 5:36; 8:47; 10:37; 14:10, 24).

Allah Most High inspired four men with his Holy Spirit to record the teachings and acts of Sayyidina Isa in the Greek language. Each book is an announcement of the good news of the one Injil. In the past, people talked about the Injil in the singular, but modern Christians often call each of the four accounts an Injil.

The Injil Sharif is an Arabic translation of the Greek text of the Injil. It speaks of the Injil in the singular, and uses the term Bishara “Good News” for each of the accounts of the Injil. The good news is that Allah Most High offers all people forgiveness for their sins, and a spiritual rebirth from the Holy Spirit of Allah, and eternal life in his glorious kingdom (Paradise). Those who repent of their sinful life and put their faith in Isa the Messiah, regarding him as their Lord and Savior, will obtain these blessings.
